The Volunteer Center strengthens non-profit organizations by recruiting, referring and supporting volunteers for the betterment of the community. In addition to matching the time and talents of individuals willing to serve with organizations in need of volunteer help, the Center provides technical support on volunteer managment issues. United Way provides support for the following programs: the Volunteer Center, Friends in Action and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.
