What motivates you to serve on the board of United Way of Reno County?
Mostly, I love all the people I serve with. Reno county is our home, and I want to use my time and talents to help make it the best place possible. The umbrella of United Way is so big anyone could find something they are passionate about to use their time and talents to do the same.
What’s one local cause or issue in Reno County that you're particularly passionate about?
Health and wellness.
What do you believe is the biggest impact that United Way can have in our community?
All the 'hand ups, not hand outs' The profound impact United Way of Reno county has in 'teaching a person to fish.'
What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday in Reno County?
Something physical during the day with our family, sports, biking, swimming, golf etc and a dress-up charity function by night.
What’s a moment or experience during your time with United Way that has left a lasting impression on you?
Allocations, I love meeting and learning about all the agencies full of service and passion for Reno county.
How do you like to give back to your community outside of your role with United Way?
Making baskets for and attending charity events. And picking up litter, I abhor litter.
