The Kansas Children’s Cabinet & Trust Fund has granted Reno County, through the United Way of Reno County, $922,906 for the fiscal year 2025 beginning July 1, 2024.
The United Way manages this grant through 8 partner agencies that serve over 600 children in the County.
Our comprehensive approach involves providing 11 programs to Reno County children, parents, and teachers. These programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of our children, offering engaging and well-prepared activities in their classrooms or daycare. We also prioritize social-emotional support, recognizing its crucial role in preventing delays in children’s success. Additionally, we work closely with families to foster healthy home environments conducive to their children’s growth and development. Lastly, we support our teachers by providing them with encouraging, positive training, ensuring they can create excellent classroom settings that cater to the needs of all their students.
Our goal for Reno County is to develop the healthiest, well-equipped children to enter Kindergarten in Kansas.
