Valerie Taylor, United Way of Reno County’s Community Impact Coordinator, has been invited to speak at the Clubhouse International World Seminar next week in St. Pete Beach, FL.
As a member of the advisory board for the local Milestone Clubhouse, Taylor will speak to how UWRC helped back the Clubhouse as it got off the ground and continues to support the initiatives of this mental health program today, advocating for increased mental health access and including the Clubhouse members in community conversations around the issue of mental health.
Milestone Clubhouse, located at 206 N. Main in Hutchinson, offers a community-centered, supportive environment for those with mental illness to take control of their recovery, as well as social opportunities to connect with peers, access to employment services, skill development training and more.
