United Way of Reno County Reaches $900,000 Milestone in 2024-2025 Fundraising Campaign

Hutchinson, Kansas — December 9, 2024 — United Way of Reno County is pleased to announce that it has crossed the $900,000 mark in its 2024-2025 fundraising campaign. This significant milestone brings the organization closer to its ambitious goal of raising $1.3 million to support critical local programs and initiatives that strengthen the community.

"We are incredibly grateful to the individuals, businesses, and organizations that have already contributed to this campaign," said Lacey Mills, CEO of United Way of Reno County. "Reaching $900,000 at this stage is a testament to the generosity and compassion of our community. We are confident that, with continued support, we will meet or even exceed our $1.3 million goal."

The funds raised through the United Way of Reno County’s campaign will go directly to support a wide range of programs aimed at improving education, health, and financial stability for local residents in Reno County. These efforts include supporting 21 local non-profits and 33 of their invaluable programs, providing essential resources for families in need, and addressing systemic challenges across the county.

"The needs in our community are greater than most people imagine, and every single dollar raised makes a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors," added Keith and Angie Zwickl, Campaign Co-Chairs for the 2024-2025 fundraising campaign. " We are not only aiming for a financial goal, but also to inspire the spirit of giving and to make a real impact in our home of Reno County. As we approach the final stretch of this campaign, we encourage everyone to consider making a donation that is comfortable and meaningful to you and your family."
